I have noticed from my site analysis that lots of people are interested in the religion and caste of Anna Hazare. I think this might be just out of curiosity.

Anna Hazare is a Hindu and believes Saint Dnyaneshwar and Swami Vivekananda as his teachers. In fact, he started his social work by reconstructing Saint Yadav Baba temple in Ralegan Siddhi.

I am not sure about his caste but I think he is from Maratha caste. Majority of the people in Maharashtra are from Maratha caste.
