From my site analysis, I have noticed that many people are interested in Anna Hazare’s religion and caste. I think this might be just out of curiosity.

Anna Hazare is a Hindu who believes Saint Dnyaneshwar and Swami Vivekananda are his teachers. In fact, he started his social work by reconstructing the Saint Yadav Baba temple in Ralegan Siddhi.

I am not sure about his caste, but I think he is from the Maratha caste. The majority of the people in Maharashtra are from the Maratha caste.
