Wrong spelling of the word Hinduism

By Rahul | Last updated on March 6, 2025

The word Hindu is derived from the word Sindhu, i.e., the Indus river. People living in the vicinity of the river Sindhu are called Hindus.

The way of life of Hindus was then termed as Hinduism, which is very easy to remember, but still, some people spell it wrong. You just need to add “ism” to the word Hindu. I think these misspellings are done mainly by non-English speaking people, which is obvious.

Following are the common misspellings for the word Hinduism:

1. Hindusim.

2. Hindusism.

3. Hinduizm

4. Hinduizem.

Hopefully, this article will help you to remember how to spell the word Hinduism rightly.
