Sangameshwar Temple is located in Saswad in Pune District, Maharashtra. It is built alongside the confluence of the rivers Karha and Chamli. Lord Shiva is the presiding deity of this temple. It was built during Yadava’s reign.

How to Reach:

Once you reach Saswad, ask someone for directions. There are many ways to get there. Especially ask for the Tahsildar Office. On Saswad-Naraynapur Road, take a right turn once you reach the Tahsildar Office. There is a bridge on the river; cross the bridge and take the left turn, and you will reach the Sangameshwar temple.

Sangameshwar Temple:

It is a magnificent temple. It seems it is carved out of a single rock. There are two Nandis; one is outside the temple and the other is inside. There is a lamp tower on each of the right and left sides of the temple. A few big pillars support the roof of the temple. You can see beautiful designs carved on those pillars. You can enter the garbhagriha and take Darshan of the Shivling. A beautiful design is carved on the outer walls of the temple. The temple is not in excellent condition as it is old, but still, it looks fabulous.

There is one more small Shiva temple on the left side of the temple.
