How to Reach the Pandeshwar Temple?

To reach the Pandeshwar temple, turn left after Jejuri, which goes to Morgaon. Take a left turn from the Maavadi village bus stop (There are other ways also to go there, such as via Naazire and/or Javalarjun villages). Go straight and turn right where the road ends. You would reach the Pandeshwar village. This road is quite rough. Follow the road and you will reach the temple. Seek help from locals if unsure.

What to See in and Around the Temple?

The Pandeshwar temple is an old Shiva temple. It is said that the Pandavas built it in one night. There are other small temples around it, including a Kunti Mata temple. There is a beautiful Shiva lingam inside the temple. It seems the temple is carved out of a single rock. Beautiful designs are carved on the temple and pillars. There is a Nandi in front of the temple. You can climb on top of the roof over Nandi. There is a small staircase to go up to the roof. There is a tower on the left side, which has some carved pictures. Around it, there are also some structures, which you can climb up and take photographs of the whole temple. Half an hour is sufficient to go around. The temple is worth visiting once.

Thousands of people visit Jejuri each year to take the darshan of Khandoba. The Pandeshwar temple is just 9-10 km away from Jejuri. So, it is a good add-on trip. Otherwise, you can also make a separate trip and see other temples like Sangameshwar, Shreenath Mhaskoba of Kodit, and Lavthaleshwar in a day.
